[From All Music.com-Marcy Donelson] Indie singer/songwriter Blondshell balances intimate, confessional songwriting with a steely alt-rock sound that underpins conveyed emotions. She emerged with a string of singles in 2022, beginning with "Olympus," which collected millions of streams before the end of the year.

Born in New York City, Sabrina Teitelbaum was based in Los Angeles by the time she released her first music at the age of 24. A song about addiction (both relationship and substance types), "Olympus" was produced by Yves Rothman (Kim Gordon, Bartees Strange) and self-released in June 2022. As it racked up hundreds of thousands of plays on streaming platforms, she followed it with singles including "Sepsis" and December's "Veronica Mars," which marked her Partisan Records debut. Blondshell kicked off 2023 with a tour in support of Suki Waterhouse. read more @All Music.com (Click Here)

Miller Outdoor Theatre's annual collaboration with the University of Houston's Kathrine G.McGovern College of the Arts and their School of Theatre and Dance presents Houston's annual Shakespeare Festival.
Tonight and Saturday evening its the Shakespear classic "Much Ado About Nothing", a tale of two romances. Quick-witted Beatrice spars with the perpetual bachelor Benedick, and their battle of words ignites sparks! Will their playful banter be enough for them to resist falling in love? Meanwhile, young friends Hero and Claudio fall instantly in love. But will false accusations and broken promises spoil their happy ending?
Attendees are being encouraged to "dive deeper into the plays with pre-show Bard Talks given by HSF Executive Director Dr. Rob Shimko before every performance.

[From All Music.com-Stephen Thomas Erlewine] Employing an earworm-heavy blend of hard rock and blues, Greta Van Fleet emerged in the mid-2010s while the bandmembers were still in their teens. Raised on a steady diet of classic FM vinyl, the sibling-led group's brawny blend of stadium rock and rhythm & blues evoked both the Who and Led Zeppelin, with the latter act looming large due to frontman Josh Kiszka's sonic similitude to Zep crooner Robert Plant. Choice placement in a 2017 episode of Showtime's Shameless drove the fiery single "Highway Tune" up the charts, and by 2018 the band were appearing on everything from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to Elton John's Academy Award Party. Anthem of the Peaceful Army, the group's 2018 debut album, cemented Greta Van Fleet's status as the most commercially successful American rock band of their generation, a position they consolidated with The Battle at Garden's Gate, their 2021 sophomore set. That album cracked the Top Ten of the Billboard 200, paving the way for 2023's Starcatcher, an album they recorded with top Nashville producer Dave Cobb.

The Indigo Streak (Live)
Raised on rock in the Michigan city of Frankenmuth -- a small town known as "Little Bavaria" and best known for Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, a Christmas paradise that's open year-round -- the brothers Kiszka (twins Josh on vocals and Jake on guitar, plus younger brother Sam on bass) formed the band in 2012 with drummer Kyle Hauck, who was swapped out for Daniel Wagner in 2013. Early in 2014, they recorded a live EP -- aptly titled Greta Van Fleet: Live in Detroit -- and their original track "Standing On" appeared in a Detroit ad for the Chevy Equinox. Soon, the group were signed to Lava Records by Jason Flom and the label pushed "Highway Tune" in early 2017, landing it on the Showtime series Shameless and using it as the anchor for the group's debut EP, Black Smoke Rising.

[From All Music.com] Nigerian singer and rapper Rema launched his career in unintentional fashion with a social media upload that prompted a contract with Mavin Records. Several commercial releases throughout 2019 (compiled as 2020's Three EP's) were highlighted by "Dumebi," a showcase for his soft, elastic voice. Switching his sound to something he calls Afrorave, Rema released his debut album, Rave & Roses, in 2022. It was well-received by critics and even broke into the lower reaches of the Billboard Top 200 chart. A deluxe version of the set landed in 2023, featuring his hit collaboration with Selena Gomez, "Calm Down."Down."
Rema
Charm
Born and raised in the Edo State capital of Benin City, Rema (Divine Ikubor) grew up listening to Afrobeat and commercial rap. He formed a rap group with peers at his church, but his interest in music took an unexpected turn in February 2018, when he uploaded a clip of himself freestyling to an instrumental version of D'Prince's "Gucci Gang." D'Prince saw the video and got in touch, which led to Rema signing with Mavin, the Lagos-based label -- run by Don Jazzy, D'Prince's brother -- that had issued "Gucci Gang." Rema made his commercial debut in 2019, a year during which he released the four-track EPs Rema, Freestyle, and Bad Commando, and was featured on tracks by D'Prince, Thutmose, and Peter Maxx, as well as Mavins, a Mavin label group. "Dumebi,"
