This will the Ziegenbock festival's 17th year at historic Sam Houston Race Park this weekend Friday October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2019.
Ziegenbock is marketed as a Texas brewed Bock-Style Beer (Import - Craft - Specialty) and positioned as a Texan beer to compete with Shiner Bock. The other Texas crafted beer. Ziegenbock is brewed at Anheuser-Busch's Houston brewery. Like Shiner Bock and Amber Bock, it does not conform to the BJCP style guidelines for a Bock, either in terms of flavor profile or potency, but they remain popular throughout the state.

Hocus Pocus Pops
The Woodlands Pavilion
The tradition that scares our stage, alarms our lawn and terrifies our tent returns! Everyone is gravely encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume for a chance to walk on stage during the concert. The first 100 boys and “ghouls” to check in at Hocus Pocus Central in the North Plaza, fully costumed, get the chance to march in the Goblin Parade. If you dare, hop onto the Great Pumpkin Express and carve out some great (or gruesome) memories on The Pavilion’s haunted grounds.

It seems Legos have been around forever, but it all started in 1949 in Billund, Denmark by The Lego Group. Legos are plastic construction toy blocks consisting of interlocking bricks with gears and figurines called mini figures. This weekend the fans of legos will meet up at NRG Center for Brick Fest Live. (Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20, 2019)
The Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen (1891–1958), a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began making wooden toys in 1932.
In 1934, his company came to be called "Lego", derived from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well".

Those faithful to the tradition of Swan Lake, must see Russian Ballet Theatre’s new production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless classic. This weekend at the Wortham Center, Sunday, October 20th, 2019.
Choreographer Nadezhda Kalinina (Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro Lirico, Omsk State Music Theatre) lovingly retouches the oldest St. Petersburg version of the ballet and adds her vision and something more that undoubtedly will leave audiences flushed with emotion. RBT's dancers bring her choreography to life along with the new exquisite hand painted sets and 150 new hand sewn costumes. Designed by the young, accomplished Sergei Novikov (Mariinsky Theatre, Omsk State Music Theatre, St. Petersburg State Music Hall), these are in the century old tradition of the great theatrical masters. SFX makeup by Award-winning Irina Strukova (Crazy Rich Asians, Netflix, HBO) completes the already perfect glittering fantasy that is Swan Lake!
